Duke Gerald (ジェラルド Jerarudo) is the son of Prince Gerald and the focus of many main questlines, and leads Golden Seal units inside Castle Curtis. He is voiced by Hiromu Miyazaki in the Japanese version of the game. His age is given as 27.
He seems to dislike non-humans, which brings him into contention with the Specialists, especially Frantz who harbors equal contempt for the Duke though this seems to lessen as narrative unfolds.
The disappearance of Gerald and his units occupies the narrative for some time. When they are found, they are all seriously ill. It is later revealed that he was coopering with Cipher's experimentation which results in his mutation and defection from the Golden Seal Team.
